Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Taco seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground flaxseed
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- ¼ cup water
- Spelt with ground flaxseed and turmeric
- Sour cream
- Grape tomatoes
- Carrots
- Tortilla chips
- Babybel cheese
Directions:
- In a small bowl mix all the spices for the taco seasoning. Set it aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook it by stirring and breaking it apart. Cook the beef until it is completely browned and cooked through.
- Drain and discard any excess grease. Pour the homemade taco seasoning and stir to cook for a few seconds. Add 1/4 cup of filtered water and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook until the moisture absorbs into the meat, about 2-4 minutes.
- Mix together taco beef and spelt in a bowl, then add to the thermos.
- Pack with sides of sour cream, tomatoes, carrots, tortilla chips, and cheese.
